Director of Engineering
A leading pipe manufacturing company seeks an experienced engineering professional to lead technical support services. The ideal candidate has a background in design, project management, and stormwater drainage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee material takeoffs and estimates from construction plans and project specifications for highway, commercial, and agriculture projects.
- Perform stormwater drainage and detention system designs.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluations to determine root causes of poorly performing materials.
- Provide technical guidance and consultation advice to sales staff and office personnel.
- Represent the company in outside technical organizations and government agencies that govern product standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Basic knowledge of water hydraulics and stormwater drainage.
- General knowledge of NCDOT specifications for highway drainage materials and applications.
- Ability to use drafting, surveying, and/or AutoCAD software.
- Physical ability to lift 35 lbs, climb ladders, and navigate steep slopes on construction sites.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of environmental engineering, water quality aspects, and regulations related to highway drainage and onsite wastewater management.
