Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, with experience in custodial techniques, outdoor maintenance techniques, and plumbing work. They will also possess a valid driver's license and meet the requirements to operate a University vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain facilities in good state of repair
- Repair and improve facilities as instructed
- Other duties as assigned
This position requires the ability to work independently, possess good communication skills, and plan and make decisions. The ideal candidate will also have thorough knowledge of safe working procedures and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years combined experience in general maintenance, custodial techniques, and outdoor maintenance techniques
- Vocational training may be exchanged at a rate of one-half time per year
- Specific experience and skills required for working in the following areas: plumbing work and general mechanical maintenance
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
