Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Follows University Libraries’ policies and procedures, and develops and documents new workflows when appropriate. Applies fundamentals and values of libraries to various situations.
- Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, receipt, and disposition of library materials in a variety of formats
- Use software to process orders and materials in the library catalog and other systems
- Maintain accurate financial and order records for the library materials in the Integrated Library System and other systems as required
- Take initiative and assist with departmental workflows and planning
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two years of college
- Three years of general office experience including typing and bookkeeping in a university, business or government office. Additional college education and related experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet the requirements.
- Organizational skills, memory for details, alertness, and initiative. Work under stress; ability to plan and make decisions.
- Keyboarding, filing, MS Office Suite programs, office procedures; bookkeeping may be required.
- Normal working hours.
- Normal for office environment.
