POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Associate plays a crucial role in the assembly of electronic components and products, ensuring high-quality standards, efficient production processes, and adherence to safety protocols. It is expected that employees will have a strong understanding of electronics assembly processes, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work as part of a team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembly of Electronic Components:
Assemble and solder electronic components such as connectors, cables, and other parts according to technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
Quality Control:
Inspect assembled products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards. Perform functional testing of electronic products and components to verify performance.
Soldering & Wiring:
Use hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to assemble electronic circuits and components. Follow safety standards for handling soldering and wiring processes.
Machine Operation:
Operate automated assembly machines and tools to support the production process. Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of assembly work, including work orders, part numbers, lot numbers, and any quality control data. Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve assembly issues in real-time. Provide feedback to improve processes and product quality.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Logistics) to meet production goals and deadlines.
Adherence to Safety Standards:
Follow all safety guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment. Report any safety hazards to management immediately.
Packaging:
Package completed electronic products, ensuring proper handling and protection during shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical certifications or coursework in electronics or manufacturing processes is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing or assembly role preferred. Experience with hand tools, soldering, and electronic assembly processes is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of electronics assembly, soldering, and component handling
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculation
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
- Basic knowledge of testing equipment and troubleshooting methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to train and assist others.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS
This role will require working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and potential hazards.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and gloves may be required.
