At Murrieta University you’ll find a unique class rotation that keeps all students involved and engaged through the whole day. We also provide mentorship and training that is designed specifically for MU.

Responsibilities

  • Design and submit weekly lesson plans that meet age-appropriate development goals, including: circle time, gross/fine motor, educational play, social/emotional skills and self-esteem, and are aligned to MU core values
  • Creative mindset with a willingness to generate classroom and school charm
  • Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, classroom management, and communication with children and families
  • Responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, and décor of the classroom environment
  • Sharing the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff
  • Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the safety and care of every child, every day

Qualifications

  • Must have a great love and patience for children
  • Must have 12 core ECE units
  • Current CPR Certification (infant\child)
  • Current TB Test and Immunizations
  • Fingerprint and background clearance
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Available to work full-time and flexible schedule
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of maintaining classroom control and mediate between children
  • Team player and initiate creative environment
  • Experience in a licensed child care center or related field (but not required)

Duties:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for preschool-aged children.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with early childhood education curriculum frameworks.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas, such as math, language, science, art, music, and physical education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
