Murrow Indian Children’s Home, a Faith-based Non-profit organization is seeking mission-minded lead shift worker to be Christian, loving and nurturing parent to American Indian Children. Native American preference will be given.

Ministry Overview: The vision of Murrow is to nurture socially, spiritually and culturally successful children. The mission of Murrow Indian Children’s Home is to provide a safe nurturing environment, spiritual foundation, and cultural experiences to Native American Children in crisis. Murrow Home began as a mission for American Baptist Churches.
Description: Murrow Indian Children’s Home is a Faith-based, level-B, 501 (c) (3) residential facility that provides a home for American Indian Children in State or Tribal custody as a result of abuse and neglect. Shift-workers need a calling from the Lord to the Ministry of Murrow. Shift workers are responsible for 8-10 children in a family-style setting. Consistency is of the utmost importance, as well as providing structure, establishing good boundaries with the children and providing direction for the workers in your cottage. You will take your meals family style with the children. Workers are required to actively support the children’s culture, attend church, attend and participate in cultural activities and events. Cultural activities and church attendance are required.
Training: All shift workers will have training to aid them in caring for children. Training includes, but is not limited to: Trauma Training, Medication Administration, Managing Aggressive Behavior, First Aid/CPR, Prudent Parenting, Food Handlers, and Positive Indian Parenting.
Requirements:
All staff must:
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Be 25 years of age
- Submit to and pass a fingerprinted background check
