Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of immigration case management, from initial consultation to case completion.
- Prepare and file various immigration applications, petitions, and motions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining legal procedures and answering their questions with empathy and clarity.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, both physical and electronic.
- Conduct legal research and stay informed about changes in immigration laws and policies.
- Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely filing of documents.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional client service.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with immigration case management software is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus, but not required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
