Job Description Summary
The Home Health CNA provides assistance to patients with direct care services in their home.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is an employee who has received training and has demonstrated competency to perform specific patient care procedures and assist the licensed professional nursing staff in delegated daily patient care procedures and assist the licensed professional nursing staff in delegated daily patient care activities. Certified Nursing Asst. services are performed under the supervision of the licensed professional nursing staff. Responsibilities include performance of secretarial and receptionist duties and provide basic patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, order transcription, order entry, medical record documentation, etc.

Job Description
The Home Health / Hospice Aide performs duties essentially of personal care which might be given to a convalescent, chronically ill, disabled person or terminally ill in their homes. Attempts in every possible way, in working with Home Health patients and families, to assist them to assume responsibilities toward self-care. Attempts in every possible way, in working with Hospice patients and families to assist them with measures to provide them with personal care and assist in their comfort. Assists family members to care for their family member whenever possible. Advocates for the needs of the patient.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Requirements : Education : A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience : One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility, must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in South Carolina.
Credentials : Basic Life Support from Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
