What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiology - Interventional Physician position at MUSC Health?
MUSC Health is recruiting skilled Interventional Cardiologists to meet the community need.
The incoming interventional cardiologists will join a local team of 5 physicians: 4 interventional cardiologists, 1 invasive cardiologist, and 1 non-invasive imaging specialist, along with several advanced practice providers.
Practice Details
- Two hospitals: Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, with plans to expand to a third hospital in the future.
- A 24/7 emergent PCI program, 1 Cardiac Cath Lab, and 1 Special Procedures Room at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
- Four outpatient practices: Pawleys Island (main hub), Georgetown, Murrells Inlet, and Market Common (Myrtle Beach), with plans to expand to a fifth practice in North Myrtle Beach.
- Three RCIS-certified technicians.
- A special device clinic for pacemaker and cardiac implant patients at the Pawleys Island location.
- CT Cardiac Imaging.
- A collaboration with MUSC Health to expand community access to advanced cardiology care.
Position Details
- Full-time position, equal share of call, currently 1:3, future call 1:4 and cath lab block time.
