Job Description
General
Provides direct patient care, manages groups of patients, and provides a safe and therapeutic milieu. Direct patient care services to include assessment, planning, monitoring, advocacy, psychosocial rehab services and direct intervention. Under the direction of the Program Coordinator the Clinical Counselor is responsible for group therapy care as directed by the multi-disciplinary treatment plan. The Clinical Counselor will plan and lead groups focusing on coping skills, social skills, and self-esteem for children with Behavioral Health problems. Clinical Counselors will be involved in treatment team meetings and work closely with Social Workers, psychiatrists, and Nurses to assist children and adolescents in rehabilitating back into the school and home environment

Additional Job Description
Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credentials: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred.
