Job Description
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross trained into other areas in the department. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.
Experience: Previous experience in cardiovascular diagnostic testing.
PRN Status Clause
This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate of state accredited school of radiology technology with current or pending registration or a graduate of state approved school of professional nursing, or a graduate of accredited echo/vascular school or licensed practical nursing with current or pending registration, or previous on the job training with documented experience
License/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure with the South Carolina through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVT) is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
