Job Description
The Scheduler reports to the Supervisor or Manager within the Radiology Dept. An Imaging Procedure Scheduler provides general clerical support for complex Radiology modalities. Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, answering phones, operating computers, scheduling appointments, screening patients, giving written and verbal instructions to patients, and requesting prior imaging.
Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry &/or Certifications)
High school graduate or equivalent (GED). Two years of medical receptionist experience, preferably in a radiology setting. Must have basic computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. EPIC experience preferred.
(NOTE: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: 1) Continuous – 6-8 hours per shift; 2) Frequent – 2-6 hours per shift; 3) Infrequent – 0-2 hours per shift)
