Are you a compassionate Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) with a passion for advocacy and patient care? Our innovative and rapidly expanding transplant team is looking for a dedicated Independent Living Donor LMSW to help support our living kidney donor program. As an essential member of our team, you'll work directly with living donors, ensuring their well-being and serving as their advocate throughout the transplant process.
What You'll Do
Education: Master's degree in Social Work or Social Welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required.
Licensure/Certificates: Licensed Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker in South Carolina required. Basic Life Support with American Heart Association (AHA) required

What You'll Do
- Advocate for Living Donors: Serve as the Independent Living Donor Advocate, providing crucial support and guidance for living kidney donors
- Care Coordination: Manage the bio-psychosocial needs of transplant patients, helping them navigate the challenges of the transplant journey
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and coordinate patient treatment plans
- Patient Support: Provide counseling and crisis intervention to both patients and their families, offering emotional support through complex decisions
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to transplant program policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards
- 2-4 years of experience in social work or a related field, ideally with exposure to transplant care or similar healthcare settings
- Strong Understanding of bio-psychosocial care principles, patient advocacy, and care coordinator
- Empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage challenging situations in high-stress environments
