Job Description
Act a case manager for all ASA patients seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Submit monthly payroll to MUSC Physicians Pediatric Finance.
Enter Call Schedule into Simon Paging system and make changes as necessary.
Provide education/instruction to community partners as needed, including law enforcement and DSS and act as point of contact for those agencies for all ASA cases.
Update SCCAMRS with PSANE new hires and terminations, complete required documentation to maintain compliance.
Schedule and coordinate the weekly SCAN Team meetings, act as scribe for Team discussion, submit note in Epic, act as case manager for CAP cases discussed during the Team meetings.
Coordinate monthly PSANE education meetings.
Additional Job Description
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of five years’ work experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Critical Care, Cardiac and/or Surgery, or within the clinical specialty area. Experience in Performance Improvement (PI) programs and processes; ability to utilize data for program analysis; demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to collaboratively work with all disciplines. Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, etc. Certification: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Proof of current training in AED for health care providers. Some positions require a valid driver's license. Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) strongly encouraged.
