Job Description Summary

The Certified Personal Trainer's job purpose is to help maintain and build a client base, market fitness programs and services, provide the highest quality of customer service, and improve the health and well-being of our members to change what’s possible.

Job Description

  • Provide safe and effective fitness instruction to help our members attain their fitness goals 30%
  • Responsible for achieving personal monthly revenue objectives established by MUSC’s Personal Trainer Director 20%
  • Promote and sale personal training programs and services to a highly engaged member base 15%
  • Conduct fitness assessments 10%
  • Design exercise programs tailored to meet member needs and goals 10%
  • Maintain professional standards including punctuality, proper attire, teamwork, and a clean and safe workout environment 5%
  • Adjust and operate all fitness equipment 5%
  • Effectively use Social Media to keep members engaged and to promote MUSC Wellness Center 5%

(Infrequent) Ability to lift objects, up to 15 lbs., from floor level to height of 36 inches, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor level, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
