Vascular Sonographer Job Summary
MUSC Community Physicians seeks an experienced Vascular Sonographer to provide high-quality patient care. This role demands exceptional knowledge of human anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
About the Opportunity
- Conduct daily routine and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as 2D scans, Duplex imaging, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI), and Doppler studies to produce high-quality vascular scans.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and prioritize patient safety at all times.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer; 2-4 years in Vascular Sonography desired.
- Current certification in RVT, RVS, RT(VS), or RDMS; obtain Vascular registry within 12 months if not certified.
- BLS certification through American Heart Association.
