Job Description
The Business Development Director reports to the System Administrative Officer, MUSC Community Physicians. The Business Development Director executes evaluation of a potential business opportunity, including due diligence and leading the project through the various levels of the approval process (CPET, Finance Exec Committee, etc.). Once a project is approved, the Director works with key stakeholders in other functional areas on development, implementation, and onboarding.
The Business Development Director is responsible for cultivating relationships, increasing care coordination, and executing various physician alignment agreements including acquisitions, professional service agreements and salary subsidy agreements.
Additional Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in from an accredited college/university and 7 years of progressively responsible work experience managing complex programs and/or services in a healthcare environment required; Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience in business management, sales, partnership development, and/or healthcare administration preferred. Public relations and communications experience preferred. Considerable knowledge of Telehealth sustainability planning, development, budgeting and project management preferred. Experience managing teams of people preferred. Experience working with healthcare information technology and “point-of-care” technology desired. Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and software applications commonly used in program management required. Proven leadership and excellent written and oral communication skills essential.
