50% Job Responsibility: Scheduling of initial and subsequent infusion, clinic, and lab appointments
Success Criteria:
a. Greet patients upon entrance to our office(s), introduce self, using AIDET format, and maintain professionalism with all patient interactions.
b. Successfully manage scheduling work queue to promptly schedule initial patient appointment.
c. Per therapy/treatment plan, accurately schedule subsequent appointments.
d. Demonstrate an understanding of the infusion referral and pre-authorization process.
e. Maintain advanced knowledge of EMR and other scheduling applications.
25% Job Responsibility: Manage incoming and outgoing calls
Success Criteria:
a. Answer incoming calls in a timely manner.
b. Maintain professional interactions and utilize the MUSC Standards of Behavior.
c. Appropriately respond to voicemails within 24 hours.
d. Facilitate resolution of patient concerns and questions.
20% Job Responsibility: Collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders in the infusion and scheduling process
Success Criteria:
a. Effectively work with care team members involved in the infusion process including nursing, MDs, APPs, pharmacy, financial counselors, and authorization teams to meet patient needs and address any concerns or issues.
b. Function as a liaison between the clinical team and patient to communicate schedule updates or changes.
c. Review treatment/therapy plan dates to assist the clinical team with ensuring the infusion appointments coincide with the ordered treatment regimen.
5% Job Responsibility: Perform other duties as assigned or initiated.
