MUSC Community Physicians (MCP), a part of the Medical University of South Carolina, provides essential healthcare across the rural health network in South Carolina. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to enhance our team and deliver high-quality care to our patients.
About the Role :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in our patient care team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will be responsible for various nursing care activities and assist in the evaluation and planning of patient care. Key Responsibilities :
- Provide compassionate patient / family-centered care, collaborating with patients to optimize their healthcare management.
- Utilize critical reasoning and clinical judgment to ensure timely and appropriate treatment, especially for patients with complex or urgent health issues.
- Assist medical staff with patient preparation, examinations, procedures, and screenings, ensuring accurate documentation and vital sign monitoring.
- Manage patient inquiries over the phone and in-person regarding medications and medical conditions, coordinating with healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain clean and stocked examination rooms and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
