The position assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician, with a focus on delivering compassionate and personalized care.Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording or inputting information to patients' medical records. The successful candidate will also prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, utilizing their excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Assisting or related field preferred
- Certification through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Health Career Association (NHA), MedCA, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA recognized equivalent
