Job Summary/Purpose
The Operations Manager for Healthy Me-Healthy SC (HMHSC) is responsible for management and oversight of HMHSC’s daily operations, programs and projects. The position reports to and works collaboratively with the Director of HMHSC to conceptualize, develop and implement HMHSC’s population health strategies in an effort to improve healthcare access and health inequities for the rural and underserved areas of South Carolina. The Operations Manager will collaborate with MUSC enterprise leaders and external partners in both an operational and strategic planning capacity. The role works closely with the various leaders and stakeholders of HMHSC’s programs to manage financials, metrics and operational activities, ensuring accountability, transparency and sustainability. The Operations Manager is also expected to develop and deploy implementation plans that align with HMHSC’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborates with and leads initiatives with more than nine different subprograms (30 individuals)
- Monitors financial performance for all programs within HMHSC, including analysis of grantee data and quarterly budgets
- Ensures high quality deliverables are completed in a timely manner and within outlined budget constraints
- Development of presentations and reports to highlight HMHSC’s outcomes to Executive Leadership’s oversight councils and committees
- Lead Health Fairs coordination between Healthy Me-Healthy SC, Clemson Health Extension and other community partners/organizations
- Assists in the ongoing development of HMHSC’s strategic plan, with a focus on enterprise integration
- Development and maintenance of HMHSC’s website
- Ensures cross divisional communication regarding community and rural health strategy
- Spearhead HMHSC’s involvement in the Innovation activities/collaboration at MUSC
- Other duties, as assigned
Minimum Training and Education
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of demonstrated healthcare project/program management work experience leading projects/programs, or Masters and one (1) year of demonstrated healthcare project/program management work experience leading projects and/or programs. Must reside in the tricounty area.
- Proficient in MS Word, Teams, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
- A passion for community health/bettering health disparities is vital
- Able to conduct research and educate oneself in unfamiliar areas in order to gain expertise and successfully provide value to a variety of programs and projects
- Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with strategic planning and budgeting is preferred, but not required
