What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Advocate position at MUSC?
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
The minimum training and education required for this position includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
