Job Description Summary
Under general supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Safety Companion monitors the patient closely at all times and never leaves the patient alone to ensure patient safety. This role assists patients with activities of daily living and performs other general patient care duties as directed by the Registered Nurse. The Patient Safety Companion notifies the Registered Nurse immediately of any patient concerns. When not functioning as a Patient Safety Companion, this role provides clerical support for the nurse's station as assigned.Entity

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a Current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
