Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/ Director, the sterile reprocessing tech cleans, inspects, assembles and packages all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical team in the operating room and other departments as required.
Education:
High School Graduate or a GED certificate required. Completion of an approved nursing assistant course, sterile processing course or surgical technician program preferred. Certification preferred.
Experience:
One to two years of surgical technician or sterile processing experience preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
Current BLS certification; Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting preferred.
