Job Description Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures. They work closely with anesthesia, surgeons, and other staff members to provide comprehensive intra-operative care to patients within the surgical/operating room environment. Under the supervision of the OR RN, Supervisor/Manager/Director, the Surgical Technologist:- Integrates physiological, medical, surgical, and anesthetic information to deliver optimal patient care.
- Utilizes principles of asepsis to maintain a sterile field, supporting the surgeon in providing optimal patient care in the OR.
- Effectively functions in the sterile environment, demonstrating expertise in performing as first scrub on all assigned surgical cases.
- May be required to take call and arrive within 30 minutes.
