Summary
MUSC Health seeks a talented board-certified Occupational Medicine physician to join our leadership team, to oversee clinical care delivery and strategy of our Occupational Medicine program, which includes MUSC Employee Health Services, on-site and near-site industrial and public safety Occupational Medicine Programs. The role will be responsible for developing MUSC Health’s Occupational Medicine presence, both locally and statewide. This physician will also help establish and then direct a new residency program in Occupational Medicine. The position will also serve as a consultant to specialty and sub-specialty providers in the care of workers' compensation, post-injury care.

Job Description
This position is an exciting opportunity to create both a network of regional and statewide Occupational Health practices while developing and implementing a new residency training program.
The physician leader will provide care to MUSC Care Team members, including clinical and administrative over site of the System's Employee Health program, the role will primarily oversee other clinicians, e.g. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The roll will serve as a consultant on all things Occupational Medicine to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
This physician leader will help develop and implement best practices in contracts with businesses and in the care of patients at affiliated sites around the state. The physician leader will provide clinical oversite and education to providers, staff and leaders at 12 near-site locations and at multiple on-site industry health centers.
Requirements include familiarity with medical requirements under South Carolina and US federal statutes, including blood-borne pathogens, worker compensation, ADA accommodations, HIPAA, and OSHA-required medical surveillance. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and communication skills, experience working in a highly matrixed organization where collaboration is required. The ideal candidate will also have strong business development skills in maintaining client relationships.
