Job Description Summary
Ultrasound Technologist PRN operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
Reviews physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedure.
Inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
5 years of experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures (support) or 0-2 years (professional).
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
