Under general supervision from the Nursing Technology Center director this position will perform a wide variety of Information System related tasks in support of the College of Nursing. These tasks include, but are not limited to, providing technical consulting and training to users, installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware and software, design and maintenance of voice and data networks, audio visual support, and departmental website maintenance.Entity

Job Description
Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and two years experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
35% - Responsible for the setup, installation, and configuration of new computers and peripherals for the college’s yearly hardware
refresh. This includes removing existing employee hardware, determining if older systems are end of life and need to go to surplus,
and recording of asset changes within the college’s inventory control system. Assists with the planning and acquisition of new computers.
20% - Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for all College of Nursing Employee and Facility computer hardware and software. This includes maintenance, troubleshooting, and updating of existing hardware and software applications. Provides Tier 1 support for student computers as it relates to College of Nursing sponsored applications. Advises on the need for new or additional hardware and
software for the college.
15% - Provides daily problem solving of operational issues related to using technology in education.
15% - Manages the inventory, tracking, reporting, and reservation of Nursing Technology managed assets including all computers, monitors, peripheral hardware, printers, LCD projectors and laptops.
10% - Provides the acquisition and setup of new software and hardware and training of faculty and staff.
5% - Other duties essential to maintaining a quality, professional, responsive, and service oriented Nursing Technology Center. Serve as back-up to other department members when necessary.
