Job Description
The HCM Analyst plays a significant role in ensuring the maximum value of the MUSC Workday solution. This role will work with cross-functional teams to understand the HR business needs and assess Workday configuration to ensure these needs are met. This role will utilize expert knowledge and best practices to deliver solutions aligned with MUSC’s mission, core values, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance and configuration of Workday HCM
- Collaborate and partner cross-functionally across multiple departments and teams to understand business needs and to assess Workday configuration feasibility and impact to other business processes, integrations, or security
- Assess and resolve HCM-related requests within established guidelines
- Provide in-depth analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems & develop innovative solutions
- Present expert level knowledge of Workday HCM core principles and work diligently to overcome foreseeable challenges, staying up to date on any system updates and changes
- Works with other functional and technical resources to assess and ensure Workday HCM business needs are met
- Recommend best practices and provide sound solutions to support HCM related items in Workday
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity within the system through regular review and audits
- Document business requirements, functional and technical specifications
- Responsible for communicating technical HCM concepts to a broad range of teams
- Responsible for timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years’ Workday HCM experience preferred
- Demonstrates a solid and comprehensive knowledge or possess a strong desire to learn Workday HCM and key HR processes
- Analytical and reporting capabilities
- Microsoft Office Proficient

Additional Job Description
• 3 years business operations experience in Procure to Pay, Finance, Payroll, HR, or Information Technology role.• Minimum of 2 years of WorkDay sustainment, support, configuration, and implementation experience. • Workday implementation and sustainment experience preferred.• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, finance, HR, accounting, or related field. Will accept 7 years’ experience in related field in lieu of degree. • Workday certified or implementation certified from a WD Partner is preferred; or a willingness to attain within 12 months of hire.• Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying business operations processes, procedures, and best practices.If you like working with energetic enthusiastic individuals, you will enjoy your career with us!
