Manufacturing Engineer

The Musco Manufacturing Engineering Team is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work from our Muscatine, IA office. This position will focus on the development of new and/or improved manufacturing processes to allow product to be fabricated safer, more efficiently, and/or of improved quality. You will also support existing process and equipment in assigned areas. If youre solutions-focused, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator, we look forward to hearing from you. What you will do as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Research, evaluate, quote, justify, and install equipment and machinery for effective manufacturing process
- Define the steps of a process logically and to achieve the most efficient methods & systems for manufacturing, with input from R&D, Quality, Prod
- Troubleshoot existing processes
- Communicate technical information both written and verbal
- Develop and implement effective error-proofing strategies
- Research and evaluate new technology solutions
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology
- Strong technical background
- Proficiency in CAD software 3D Inventor preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years experience
- Basic Electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of manufacturing assembly processes, techniques, and methods
- Knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication processes and equipment
- Ability to select appropriate manufacturing equipment by comparing cost/benefit and cost justifications
- Knowledge of automated and/or semi-automated equipment
- Excellent hands-on skills
- Creative problem solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Other Special Requirements:
- Occasional travel internationally and frequent travel domestically
