The Musco Operational Field Sales Team is seeking a Sales Representative to live in and support our Arkansas market. A Sales Representative position is a great opportunity to continue your sales career in a fast-paced, sports environment. The individual selected for this critical position will be responsible for developing strong relationships with new and existing customers, contractors, and specifiers to manage through the entire sales cycle. We are a global leader in sports and large-area lighting, providing lighting solutions at recreational complexes, high schools, colleges, and other venues in more than 125 countries.

What you will do as a Sales Representative (Arkansas)

  • Build relationships with customers, contractors, and specifiers to be a trusted sports lighting resource
  • Listen to customers' needs and make recommendations by differentiating Musco's products and services
  • Create and maintain customer contacts through face-to-face meetings, sales presentations, and site visits
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences to understand the market needs and inform others of our product's values and features
  • Achieve territory sales plan through discipline, strategic planning and execution, and applying Musco's sales philosophies
  • Utilize a customer management system to track and maintain all projects and contact information
  • Be the driving force to progress projects through the sales cycle

What you need to be successful:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field is preferred for this role
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous sales experience
  • Passion for selling and building trusting relationships with our customers
  • Self-disciplined to work independently to achieve results, while working collaboratively with the Team to support our customers
  • Highly motivated professional with a positive attitude, ownership mentality, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present in front of groups are required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage project workload as it relates to meetings, customer visits, project deadlines, and internal communications.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a motivation to learn and educate others
  • Electrical experience and working with contractors is preferred
  • Comfortable with significant travel, including evenings and overnights, and working outside of normal business hours.
  • Ability to utilize a personal vehicle for job-related travel within the sales territory. Team Members are reimbursed for personal vehicle mileage per IRS guidelines.
