The Musco Transportation & Infrastructure Team is currently seeking a Territory Sales Associate for the West Region. This position will be responsible for executing and managing the sales plan for a defined territory or project type to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals and assist in the development of new market areas within your territory. What you will do as a Territory Sales Associate:
Work closely with Area Sales Lead for guidance on strategy for territory and projects
Develop strong communication networks and relationships with T&I customers, contractors, specifiers and end-users in their marketplace and establish regular communication with those contacts
Generate new sales and project creation to accomplish individual, department and team goals
Assess customer's lighting needs and determine which Musco products and services best suit their needs
Ensure that project information and documentation in sales database is accurate, maintained, and up to date
Prepare quotes or budget estimates for customers' lighting needs through the use of the pricing tools
Negotiate prices and agreements including credit terms and collection
Identify and define key relationships and decision makers in order to maximize Musco’s position on projects
Effectively present Musco's product and services to customers in a variety of situations utilizing the tools available (sales presentations, meetings, field visits and trade shows)
Participate in weekly updates of current projects; interface with technical staff to accomplish design production and installation of product
Weekly and Quarterly reports provided to Area Sales Leader to ensure focus and travel are maintained
Communicate regularly with the Area Sales Lead and Coordinator to monitor needs/concerns within the territory and for allocation of resources
Participate in corporate meetings/conference calls as necessary
What you need to be successful:
College degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing and 1-3 years of sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A proven track record of sales success with a technical product is required
Experience with reviewing AutoCad, Project Plans, Google Earth are preferred
Must be self-directed and able to make informed decisions independently
Must be willing to travel extensively (50%)
Must have a working knowledge of MS Office, MS Teams, email, internet, and general PC and Mobile device use
Must have an ability to learn, understand, and teach technical concepts and information
Ability to analyze and communicate bid and tender documents
Good organizational, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills are required
Other Special Requirements:
Extensive travel is required
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
