Primary Function: The job of Applicant Tracking Specialist is done for the purpose/s of providing information to potential applicants on positions within the district; processing applicants efficiently and supporting other HR functions as needed.

Job Related experience preferred; Additional testing for selected candidates may be required. |

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. |
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met. |
2. |
Provides backup to other HR functions (evaluation processes, substitute management, employee recognition programs, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit. |
3. |
Assist in the new hire fingerprinting process for the purpose of ensuring that every employee and/or prospective employee has a criminal record check made. |
4. |
Assists with employment process (e.g. applications, job postings, etc.) for the purpose of complying with mandated requirements. |
5. |
Informs personnel regarding needed documents for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with established guidelines. |
6. |
Maintains a variety of applicant files and records, compiling pertinent employee information for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for position and complying with mandated requirements. |
7. |
Monitors a variety of processes (e.g. application, eligibility, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient processing of applicants in addressing position requirements and adhering to legal and/or administrative requirements. |
8. |
Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. |
9. |
Processes documentation (e.g. applications) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties. |
10. |
Responds to applicant inquires for the purpose of providing information and/or direction. |
11. |
Screens employment applications for the purpose of initially assessing applicant qualifications. |
12. |
Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met. |
