Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture within the team.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sales initiatives.
- Develop strong leadership and coaching skills to motivate sales team members.
- Geographical Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of US and North American geography, including major cities, transportation hubs, key highways, and interstates
Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline the sales process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement and enhance sales tools, CRM systems, and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide training and support to the sales team on best practices and sales techniques.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and target new clients in various industries, forging strong relationships to secure long-term partnerships.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Resolve client issues and concerns promptly and professionally.
Performance Reporting:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Monitor sales team performance, track progress towards targets, and develop action plans for improvement as needed.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Transportation & Logistics industry. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales management role.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address client needs and overcome challenges.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, clients and sales teams alike.
Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple customers at a single time.
Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation, always striving to meet and exceed expectations.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks.
