Role Description
This is a 12 week contract (Potential Full-time) Digital Brand Designer position at the Museum of the Bible. The designer will be responsible for creating and implementing design projects on the web and through our social channels. Daily tasks involve visual design, branding, and ensuring all materials cohesively reflect the museum’s commitment to excellence. This role also requires collaborating with teammates and various different departments to align all branding efforts with the museum’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Develop and design visually appealing graphics, images, videos, and other media for social media platforms and the web.
- Create content that aligns with the brand's overall aesthetic and messaging.
- Adapt designs to suit the unique characteristics of different platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
- Create infographics, quote graphics, and original designs
- Develop content for various purposes, including informing customers about sales or events, or generating engaging daily posts.
Branding and Consistency:
- Ensure that all social media content adheres to the brand's established guidelines and visual identity.
- Maintain consistency in typography, color palettes, imagery, and overall style across all social media channels.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
Engagement and Strategy:
- Develop and implement social media content strategies that align with the overall marketing goals.
- Create content that encourages user engagement, such as polls, quizzes, and contests.
- Monitor social media metrics to analyze the effectiveness of content and make necessary adjustments.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Participate in client meetings to understand project objectives and ensure alignment.
- Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and project managers to ensure cohesive designs.
Qualifications
- Experience in Brand Identity and Design Systems
- Proficient in Visual Design and Branding
- Solid understanding of how popular social platforms work.
- Skilled in Graphic Design
- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
- Experience in museum or cultural institution branding is a plus
