What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Repair Shop Specialist position at Music and Arts?
As an instrument repair technician at Music & Arts, you will be responsible for repairing musical instruments in a timely and proficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and repair various types of musical instruments, including brass, woodwind, orchestral, and percussion instruments.
- Provide estimates for instrument repairs and work on a timetable to ensure timely completion.
- Work on customer-owned and retail instruments, ranging from student-level to professional instruments.
- Perform high-quality work at an hourly rate exceeding the shop's hourly rate.
- Assist with repair clinics and school events as needed.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school.
- At least 6 years of experience working on musical instruments daily (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Noise environment.
- Standing, sitting, and walking.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling instruments and cases up to 75 pounds.
- Mild cleaning chemical smell.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00/hr plus commission depending on location, background, and experience.
