Director of Automotive Service & Customization – Music City 4x4 (Hendersonville & Clarksville, TN)

About Us :

Music City 4x4 is Tennessee’s premier offroad and truck customization shop , specializing in lift kits, wheels & tires, lighting, bumpers, bed covers, and more . With locations in Hendersonville and Clarksville, TN , we provide expert installations and high-performance upgrades for Jeeps, Broncos, Trucks, and SUVs . As we expand, we are searching for an experienced leader with a strong automotive service background to oversee and grow our operations.

Position Overview :

We are hiring a Director of Automotive Service & Customization to manage day-to-day operations at both locations , drive sales growth , improve efficiency , and ensure financial success . This role is not a general operations job —we are looking for someone with direct experience running an automotive service or customization shop, preferably multiple locations .

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and oversee daily operations at both Hendersonville and Clarksville shops.
• Ensure top-tier service quality and streamlined processes across both locations.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for shop operations, workflow, and customer service .
• Drive sales growth by setting sales targets, adjusting pricing, and optimizing services.
• Manage P&L, profitability tracking, and labor / pricing adjustments as needed.
• Identify and implement new revenue opportunities in offroad customization.
• Handle hiring, training, and performance management for key staff.
• Work with our owner to align promotions and customer outreach strategies.
• Support our General Manager in handling conflict resolution.
• Be a hands-on leader , but focus on high-level business growth rather than daily wrench-turning.

Requirements :

Must have direct experience managing an automotive service or customization shop.

Preferably experience overseeing multiple locations .

Strong knowledge of automotive repairs, modifications, and aftermarket accessories.

P&L management experience, including budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategy.

Proven ability to increase sales and streamline shop operations.

A passion for offroad vehicles and customization is highly preferred .

Excellent leadership, team management, and customer service skills.

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
