One of the strong benefits of this position is that the hours are guaranteed as posted below (i.e. if your rate is $44/hr and you work on Mondays 4pm - 6:30pm, then $110. Because it is small group teaching, the classes always happen. There is not a teaching rate "if they show" and a separate "admin-no show" rate.
This position is for a an experienced Music Educator, that is willing to teach Beginning to Early Intermediate Piano. Exceptions may be made for exceptional recent music graduates, but if you have no previous teaching or tutoring experience, in general you will not be considered for this position.

Music Pillars is looking to hire an Beginning/Intermediate Music Instructor (piano) to teach at our 4S Ranch/Del Sur location.

Skills/Experience
We are seeking candidates who are genuinely interested in Musical Education as a part-time profession, or already have experience in Music Education. If you have classroom instructional experience that is a BIG plus, but not required.
The following are requirements for the position:
1. The ability to sight-read early-intermediate piano scores such as this "LEVEL 5" example on our website here: https://www.musicpillars.com/piano-1
2. Genuine interest in teaching, and a sincere interest in working with students ages 5 - 12.
Intermediate/Advanced ability on the piano is a major plus, but is not required. Previous Classroom Music Teaching experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone with the heart of a teacher.
Lessons are all taught at our studio at 10710 Thornmint Rd, Suite 201 San Diego, CA 92127
A short cover letter is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED and appreciated as well.
