What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Piano and/or Guitar Instructor position at Music Time?
About us
Music Time has been a part of Livermore community since 2002. From humble beginnings of one guitarist & his handful of students, Music Time has since evolved into one of the largest music lessons studios in the Tri-Valley area. After changing ownership in 2008, Music Time began to grow rapidly. In 2012, our studio space expanded from 3 teaching rooms to 8 rooms. Just 2 years later, a second expansion added on another 2 teaching rooms, plus a larger space for performances and group classes. Today, our 20 teachers currently serve hundreds of students of all ages & skill levels.
In addition to private music lessons, we prioritize performance opportunities for Music Time students. Over the years, we have grown from small Sunday afternoon recitals at a neighborhood church into a live music extravaganza which we call: “The Big Show”. This one-of-a-kind event features about 2 dozen student/teacher ensembles, performing a variety of popular music across 2 stages. Additionally, Music Time students may showcase their talents as a soloist at a “Little Show” (recital performance).
During the pandemic in 2020 & 2021, our open-minded & highly skilled staff was able to successfully adapt to online music lessons. Music Time proudly produced 3 digital concerts to allow our community to remain connected (and musical) despite all the uncertainties around us. We were thrilled to re-open for in-person lessons in late 2021 and offered our very first hybrid concert in early 2022. Music Time will continue to adapt to the times and to do our very best to make some (Liver)more music.
