Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Therapeutic Musician who is a vocalist with guitar and/or piano accompaniment experience to provide musical programs for the elderly in various facilities/locations within the general Baltimore and surrounding area. This role requires weekend hours on rotation and active participation in the company's programming development and regular meetings. The musician will facilitate both musical and non-musical activities, connect and engage with the audience, create reports, and provide 1-on-1 or group music services to the elderly. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging musical programs tailored to the elderly.
- Facilitate non-musical activities as trained and required, engaging participants.
- Lead activities that motivate the elderly to participate and enhance their quality of life.
- Create detailed reports to assist the activities department with observations on communication, motor skills, cognitive functioning, etc.
- Participate in programming development and adapt musical programs to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Attend mandatory regular meetings and provide timely reports on activities.
- Cover assignments for part-time musicians as needed.
- Conduct market research and execute marketing tasks to identify new opportunities.
- Demonstrate excellent musical proficiency and understanding of service enrichment.
- Provide both 1-on-1 and group music services.
- Engage in office hours for research and coverage, ensuring comprehensive support for part-time musician assignments.
- Travel to various facilities/locations to perform services.
- Adapt to physical demands, including prolonged sitting/standing, lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs, pushing/pulling, bending, and walking as necessary.
- Proven experience as a vocalist with guitar or piano accompaniment; additional instruments are a plus.
- Prior music experience, with knowledge of age-appropriate musical repertoire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with music research, program presentation, and audience interaction.
- Willingness to work during weekdays with weekend hours on a rotational basis.
- Vaccination against COVID-19 (as required by served facilities).
- Basic knowledge of Zoom or online meeting platforms and a stable internet connection.
- Ability to respond promptly to emails and updates.
- Willing to undergo training for non-musical services in preparation for full-service recreational therapeutic offerings.
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to participate in professional development.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel; assistance with transportation and gas stipend available.
- Annual salary starts at $31,200
