What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Arts Teacher position at Musical Minds Academy?

Musical Minds Academy is excited to offer a chance to join our roster of podcasting instructors in the Lancaster/Palmdale area, best for those looking to inspire young minds through the popular media form!
With us, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Earn excellent pay instructing students in public middle schools on how to research a topic for their podcast, as well as planning/recording a podcast episode of their own.
- Develop effective classroom control techniques.
- Demonstrate relevant recording/research techniques and concepts with confidence and skill, while making lessons fun for students.
- Design creative lesson plans that engage students and establish clear learning goals.
- Prepare students for a rewarding chance to showcase their podcasts at the end of the course.
To join our team, we require:
- Reliable transportation.
- Availability for daytime-afternoon classes on weekdays.
- Participation in training sessions and staff meetings.
- Consistent communication through email, text, and phone.
- Successful completion of a Livescan DOJ background check and TB test.

Compensation: $50-$60/hour for teaching hours. Training sessions and other non- instructional responsibilities will be paid at $25/hour.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:00 P.M.
Experience: At least (2) years of prior teaching experience required.
Note: Experience in media communications, special education, childhood development, childhood education, behavior management, tutoring is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
