Musick Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to coordinate and supervise our team of crew members. The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. This role requires expertise in all trades, including foundation, framing, doors, and more. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of leading a team while maintaining a hands-on approach.
Starting compensation ranges from $35-$40 per hour depending on experience and skill level.
Description :
This position maintains knowledge of, organizes and directs all jobsite activities daily as well as oversight of the whole project overview. This position must manage a project successfully with the ability to work independently from the supervisor to include employees, subcontractors, vendors and equipment.
Requirements :
Must have proven understanding of a residential build from start to finish
Must have proven ability to manage subcontractors, on site workers and vendors.
5-10 years of construction experience
Reliable transportation and personal tools (skill saw, framing nail gun, drill, impact, tool belt, etc.)
Valid CA drivers license
Ability to work alone and in a team setting
Create and maintain a construction schedule with project goals in mind.
Hire, train, supervise, and assign tasks to crew members.
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed on construction sites.
Consult regularly with property owners, tenants, and other major stakeholders.
Ensure all construction projects stay on schedule, remain within budget, and are completed successfully.
Read and interpret project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Oversee construction sites and supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans.
Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear.
Manage employees to ensure projects stay on track.
Skills :
Advanced knowledge of construction procedures, sourcing materials, and equipment.
Experience in all trades, including foundation, framing, doors, windows, etc.
Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to fix routine errors.
In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices.
Strong managerial skills with a team-oriented mindset.
