- High School Diploma and/or CDA
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with parents, young children and co-workers.
- Successful pre-employment physical exam including tuberculosis screening and criminal records background check.
- Maintains cleanliness of eating areas and food service equipment.
- Wear proper attire for food preparation.
- Follow the Health Department food service guidelines.
- Be knowledgeable of each child’s nutrition/heath plan.
- Follows the pickup and release procedures for all children being transported.
- To ensure child safety to and from school.
- To ensure children are safe when riding the bus.
- Engage children in songs, finger plays, and conversations during transport.
- Some classroom duties as assigned.

Position: Orchard View Head Start Nutrition/Classroom Support Associate – EDUStaff
Summary: The Nutrition/Classroom Support Associate helps prepare and serve meals to the preschoolers following the State of Michigan, USDA and CACFP guidelines. The Classroom Associate gives support to the teacher and the children. Monday thru Thursday and some Fridays. Must be professional and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Salary Range: $12.51 an hour
