DEPARTMENT: Water Department
POSITION TITLE: Field Operator 1
STATUS: Full-time – 40 hours/week
HOURLY RATE: $ 20.00 per hour
DEADLINES: OPEN UNTIL POSITIONS ARE FILLED
QUALIFICATIONS:
*CDL – Class A (or ability to obtain)
*Knowledge of water systems preferred/not required
*Safety oriented in work environment
*Ability to adapt and eager to be trained in work tasks
*Pass all pre-employment screenings
Installs water taps, water lines and fire hydrants. Reads and fixes meters. Repairs water breaks, taps and general repairs. Cross-train to perform duties of Meter Technician. Maintenance knowledge preferred. Available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (based on a rotating schedule).
