POSITION TITLE: Male Juvenile Corrections Officers
STATUS: Part Time β Varied Hours/Various Shifts (Potential for Full-Time)
Juvenile Detention is a 24 hour/7 day operation and requires availability to work all three shifts: day shift (7am-3pm), afternoon shift (3pm-11pm, and midnight shift (11pm - 7am) rotations as well as weekends/holidays as scheduled. Total hours vary each pay.
SALARY: $18.38 per hour
DEADLINE: Open Until Filled
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Previous experience in corrections or detention facility preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate effectively with youth and adults.
Pass all pre-employment screenings
Supervises and monitors youth detained in the detention facility in accordance with established procedures, process and requirements. Maintains and enforces Center security procedures and ensures the safety and security of juveniles, employees, visitors and facility. Conducts room and facility searches on a scheduled basis. Provides for the basic physical needs, including but not limited to meals, personal hygiene items, clothes, recreational activities and other items for youths in accordance with procedure.
