We are currently in search of a Full time Student Pastor to join our Next Generation team.
The Student Pastor must have an irreproachable relationship with Jesus Christ where Christ is first in every aspect of their life. Daily devotion and worship must be a way of life and not just something that is done on Sunday morning during service.
Position Summary:
The Student Pastor will provide not only pastoral leadership for the students but also serve as part of the student ministries team casting vision, oversight, cohesion, and support for the entire department.
The person in this position will not just have the capacity to be an excellent communicator of God’s word but also lead through the implementation of a strategic discipleship plan for students/leaders, create teams, recruit volunteers, create and develop future ministry leaders, manage departmental budget, and strategically develop structure of youth services and ministry. They will connect with students in the schools, facilitate small groups, create community, and complete additional church duties as assigned. This Pastor will be responsible for both students 7th-12 grade and leadership oversight to our 5th and 6th grade program.

Key Responsibilities: (included but not limited to)
- Lead. Strategize, develop, and implement outreach that is targeted towards high school students. Build a team of leaders who are passionate about, God, students’ spiritual growth and outreach. Create opportunities for students to connect and grow in community with one another. Work not only in tandem but also unity with the student ministries team including but not limited to the direction of the Student Ministries department, fine arts, national fine arts, youth convention, student leadership, and youth camp.
- Pastor. Lead others to find life by following Jesus. Model authentic, ongoing personal spiritual growth, and encourage your team to do so as well. Provide biblical teaching via youth service and small groups. Discipleship should be a priority. Provide care and counsel for staff, students, and volunteers within your ministry. Cultivate a student ministry leadership team and employ their giftings. This person will value God’s presence over programming. We want you to help student personally encounter God.
- Communicate. Maintain regular contact with leaders, students, parents, staff, and volunteers to encourage, provide essential information, and solicit feedback to ensure issues are identified and addressed on an ongoing basis. Manage social media platforms and communication platforms for the ministry.
- Steward ministry resources. Oversee the development and execution of annual ministry budget consistent with Mustang Creek Community Churches mission and vision. Steward facilities, shared spaces, equipment, and other resources committed to the student ministries department; advocate for additional resources, as needed.
- Innovate and make things better. Develop and implement high-quality, forward-looking solutions within your sphere of responsibilities. Be proactive; be willing to “think outside of the box” to solve problems; consistently contribute your best effort and attitude and inspire others to do the same. Create worship, community and outreach experiences that speak to an ethnically diverse congregation.
