We are looking for someone that is highly motivated, coachable, quick learner with a great eye for attention to detail. You will be working in a high-energy environment with other people working as a team.
A router specialist focuses on cutting printed materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications using a digital cutter machine / router.
The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of organization and will have sufficient technical expertise to effectively prioritize and manage the fast-paced, digital printing workload. You will need to be able to work in a busy work environment, must be good with hand tools, power tools and have the physical stamina to produce signs in a timely manner.
This position also assists in the assembling and finishing of signs. This includes includes preparing substrates and applying vinyl or other media according to written instructions. Also, mounting and/or laminating prints and operating and setting up the laminator for over-laminating is required. Proofreading signs and conducting quality assurance to ensure the accuracy of signs is required.

// Minimum Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in print shop, CNC cutting, or other digital media.
- Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in finishing and mounting
- Basic understanding of design, digital artwork and file set up
- Experience in table saws, wall saw, panel saw, drills, hand tools (hammer, box cutter)
- Basic Math Skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Able to measure in fractions of inches up to and including 32nds
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and align operations and sales processes to achieve business results
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal and external customer
- Must be physically able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
// Your Day to Day Role
- Responsible for setting up and daily operation of a CNC router / cutting machine.
- Oversees cutting queue and makes effective changes to maximize efficiency in support of client demands.
- Communicate thru work order system and with team on status of jobs and issues if they arise
- Maintains problem log and works to mitigate and prevent misprints and material wastage.
- Must work hard to ensure efficient, accurate, on-time, high-quality cuts in a fast-paced production environment, minimizing mistakes as much as possible.
- Organize daily work for efficient printing/cutting. Gather & order materials for upcoming layouts
- Design and map out efficient cutting paths and efficient use of substrates. Work to use scrap material and minimize waste as much as possible.
- Review work coming from prepress to ensure efficient print / cut file set up
- Laminate graphics, post print.
- Capable of making adjustments to keep quality, registration, and production speed at optimum.
- Must demonstrate “ownership” over all aspects of machine use, care, maintenance, repairs to ensure high reliability and uptime, and minimal breakages and problems. Ensure that cutting tools and work area are in good working order and are free of safety hazards.
- Monitors equipment during job runs, remains alert to mechanical problems and corrects or refers for maintenance if necessary
- Ensure quality output of printed and cut product
- Manage the cutter consumables. Ensure that the machines is supplied with bits, blades, and table mats. - never running out of supplies.
- Work collaboratively with design & production team members to ensure that jobs are well prioritized, accurate, and completed on-time and without waste.
