Mustang Special Utility District (Mustang) is a local governmental entity providing water and water reclamation utility service in Denton, Collin, and Grayson Counties of North Texas. The Real Estate Development Specialist supports the Development Services Manager and the broader development team by coordinating administrative, operational, and property acquisition tasks to ensure seamless project execution. Key responsibilities include organizing project documentation, scheduling meetings, monitoring compliance, and providing strong communication and negotiation support. This role also involves property evaluation, market analysis, contract management, and right-of-way (ROW) acquisition while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal and analytical skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.

- Document Management: Organize, maintain, and update project documentation to ensure all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible. This includes regularly updating databases and verifying the accuracy of submitted documents to comply with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.

Position Specifications:
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to the organizations policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours.
Education:
Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required for foundational skills in communication, basic office management, and administrative tasks.
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelors degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field. This advanced education provides deeper knowledge in office management, project coordination, and administrative support.
Experience:
Required:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, or a related field. This experience should include managing documentation, scheduling, and customer service responsibilities.
- 1-3 years of real estate acquisition and transactional experience
