Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscaping practices. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, beautiful, and functional. The Landscape Technician will work with various tools and equipment to perform tasks related to groundskeeping, tree care, and hardscaping.
Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery for garden maintenance and tree care.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting and landscaping projects.
- Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Conduct regular maintenance on landscapes to ensure healthy growth of plants and trees.
- Monitor the condition of plants and trees, providing necessary care such as watering, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Maintain cleanliness of job sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various landscaping equipment safely.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of plant care techniques including tree trimming and garden maintenance is a plus.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality work standards are met.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
