We are looking for an Underwriter to join our team. The Underwriter will respond to member and new prospect inquiries, obtain information regarding the risk from various available sources, and handle the analysis and selection of new and current risks within the established guidelines. The Underwriter will also communicate with personnel of independent agencies regarding new business acceptability, binders, recommendations for current risks, procedural questions, etc. The Underwriter is responsible for determining applicability of available endorsements to risk and assists applicant or assured in selecting appropriate coverages.
A minimum of four (4) years' experience in property and casualty insurance underwriting or related positions normally required, or any equivalent combination of related training, education, or experience.
